We are currently accepting limited food and toiletry donations. We are asking that groups or individuals wanting to donate to please choose one item to collect (like a soup drive or a peanut butter drive). We do not currently have the room or the volunteers to sort through a donation of assorted items.
Go HERE for a list of suggested items to donate (donations of one item in bulk, please)
Specific questions about food donations? Send us email HERE.
All donations are tax deductible as permitted by law. Open Hands Food Pantry has been designated as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Documentation verifying this status is available upon request.
Please be aware that in many cases we are able to get more food for our clients with monetary donations to Open Hands than with food donations. The donated money can buy more food through Gleaners and our other suppliers. It is better for safety reasons for us to buy food rather than to accept food and packages that have been handled by several people.
A list of our many donor organizations can be found HERE.
WE ARE NOT ABLE TO ACCEPT LARGE FOOD DONATIONS WITH VARIOUS ITEMS AT THE PRESENT TIME
It is best to email us HERE. You may call us at (947) 900-1263, but you will most likely not be contacted as quickly.
Contact us with any questions you have concerning small food/toiletries donations. At this time, it is best for donations to be quantities of one or two items only.
Contact us for a time to deliver your donations. We will let you know what works best for us.
Check HERE for days that the food pantry will be closed due to holidays and other occasions.
Would you like to host a food drive to benefit Open Hands?
Please think of us when making food and other contributions or for a food drive you may be planning. Thank you!
